Portraits
"Daddy Without Cofee(sic)" -- ballpoint on pink construction paper -- 2007 My 10-yr-old daughter is constantly drawing. Her latest creation is a portrait of me. I'm flattered that she made me so thin -- I'm a little heavy in the eye-liner department, but it's definitely me.

Uh-oh --- here we go...
Well she's started early.
Emma has already begun her red-carpet stalking ways. On Monday she heard that her absolutely favourite-est movie-star, Zac Efron was in town for the Canadian Premiere of Hairspray. So she and her mom went to see if they could get a glimpse of him at a taping of Much on Demand downtown. Only being able to get a few far-away snapshots through the crowds of screaming girls, they went to the Elgin Theatre to try for a better look on the red carpet.
No luck there either.
After a quick bite to eat they went back and sat out behind the theatre to wait for the film to finish -- and sure enough out walked Zac! He stopped and posed for this pic -- and even called her "sweetie".
I'm sure the smile will last a few more weeks.
